Secondary school visits, teacher training, and Science Week activities to foster STEM vocations across the Community of Madrid.
The CTB is committed to science communication and to fostering STEM vocations — particularly through schools and public events across the Community of Madrid.
Every November during Science Week (Semana de la Ciencia), the CTB opens its doors with hands-on activities, escape rooms, talks, and lab demonstrations. Past editions have covered AI in medicine, brain science, cancer biology, Parkinson's, and robotics for healthy ageing.
Beyond Science Week, the CTB regularly welcomes secondary school groups for guided lab tours, and participates in teacher training courses organised by the Community of Madrid's Centre for Territorial Innovation.
Guided lab tours adapted to curriculum. Students meet real researchers and participate in hands-on science activities. Free, available Monday–Friday, groups up to 30.
Courses and workshops for secondary school teachers, in collaboration with the Community of Madrid's Centre for Territorial Innovation, helping bring cutting-edge biomedical science into the classroom.
The CTB contributes specialist biomedical engineering modules to UPM's annual International Summer School, welcoming students from partner universities worldwide.
